Where is ba arrivals lounge

The same applies the other way around, for example, if you landed in London on a Club World flight and are connecting on to Amsterdam in economy, you are entitled to access the lounge. The caveat here is that reception staff can be known for making up rules or not understanding the full access rules and thus by simply looking at your upcoming boarding pass in economy, deny access.

Passengers need to be over the age of 18 or accompanied by an adult to enter the lounge. The access criteria are very similar to the above: First class passengers traveling on a British Airways or Oneworld flight on the same day — or connecting onwards having arrived in first class. Access is reserved to: Passengers arriving on a British Airways or Oneworld long-haul flight in business or first class. Sign up for our daily newsletter. Sign up. The British Airways Heathrow Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 5 caters exactly for this, offering a place to get clean and recharge the energy levels. Having visited a several times, we decided a review was long overdue.

Look up for the yellow sign denoting the South Meeting point. Check the protocol for your connections as you will probably need to stay airside and follow signs for Flight Connections on arrival. Head to the airside British Airways Heathrow lounges for a fuller experience. The lounge opens 5am until 2pm each day. Right next to the check-in desks was a free bag-check facility. We tend to head straight to the showers with our bags, then drop them in here before we have some breakfast.

If you have any questions, they can always help. The lounge was split into four distinct sections. The showers were at the far end. Next to them was the lounge seating area. Moving nearer to the entrance was the dining area. Finally, to the left, was the Elemis Spa area. The lounge area was furnished with rows conjoined armless chairs and curvy sofas, punctuated by in-built coffee tables. The lounge was effectively windowless and did suffer from the absence of natural light. While one side of the lounge area had floor-to-ceiling windows, they look out onto the arrivals hall.

We arrived midway through the morning rush of flights and found the lounge was fairly busy. I wandered up to the mezzanine and found Galleries Arrivals Lounge signs.

I could easily get from the plane to the lounge within about 30 to 45 minutes. The first thing I noticed was how empty the lounge was, especially compared to the lounges in the departures area. My flight landed at am, and by the time I got to the lounge it was around pm, so I had probably missed the main wave of early-morning arrivals. The central area of the lounge was occupied by the self-service buffet area and a seating area.

To the right, there was what looked like a dedicated working area, but there were no desktop computers available.

To the left was an area exclusively for first-class passengers, who could choose from the Concorde Room breakfast menu, as well as the arrivals Elemis Spa. As the lounge was so empty that there was no waiting list for the 94 showers available to all guests free of charge.

The shower room I was allocated was perfectly clean and fresh and spacious enough for me and my suitcase, with plenty of room to get changed. Elemis Spa treatments of 15 minutes were available to all guests in the lounge as long as their arriving flight was over six hours long. The treatments available included a facial, nails, head-and-shoulder massage, etc.
